About Run for Moore
How it all started
Run for Moore was established in 2006 in order to help raise funds through a series of 5km races for the Bobby Moore Fund's research into bowel cancer.
Now in its third year there are six cities staging runs with London, Bristol, Manchester, Hull, Oxford and Ipswich all vying to finish top of the Run for Moore league table.
Bigger every year
Since 2006 Run for Moore has:
- Had over 5,000 runners take part.
- Raised over £450,000 for bowel cancer research.
- Helped save thousands of lives.
All the money raised from Run for Moore goes directly to the Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK's research into bowel cancer, a disease which affects over 35,000 people each year in the UK.
