A host of celebrities support It's a girl thing

Nicole KidmanCancer Research UK is delighted to receive the support of so many big personalities for our It's
a girl thing campaign this year.

They have given their time in different ways –
from lending their name to the campaign to
giving interviews or modelling our campaign
T-shirts.

We're really grateful for their help and continued support in raising money for breast cancer research.

Message of support from Nicole Kidman

"I am honoured to support Cancer Research UK's breast cancer campaign. As someone whose family has personally been affected by the disease, I can't stress enough how important it is that women get to know and understand what is normal for their bodies.

I hope that this Cancer Research UK campaign will raise awareness of breast cancer among women of all ages and encourage them to report any unusual changes and go for screening if they're over 50. Together we will beat cancer."

Olympic gold medallist James Degale delivers knockout blow to breast cancer

James Degale Olympic gold medal boxer, James DeGale, joined ten breast cancer survivors for a day of luxury on board a mobile beauty salon.

A double-decker powder-pink bus was turned into a mobile beauty salon in support of Cancer Research UK's It's a girl thing. James and the survivors were helping to spread the message about being breast aware (PDF, 2MB) and encouraging people to hold fundraising events to support the charity's life-saving work.

James said:"I'm a fighter but these ladies have all faced tough battles of their own against breast cancer. I'm delighted to be able to lend some weight to their awareness campaign and encourage everyone to get fundraising and help beat breast cancer."
